Timber bench
Natural elements such as the hand-made timber bench and large white timber and glass doors invite the outside into this light-filled kitchen, creating a relaxed vibe that is a true reflection of its leafy location.

The runner
The patterned strip next to the sink, featuring cement ‘Zaragoza’ tiles from Teranova, is an eye-catching yet functional design decision. The tough, practical surface is easy to keep clean and helps to define the kitchen zone in the open-plan space, while adding subtle, tonal colour.

Sliding doors
Timber-framed and painted white, the doors allow for a deluge of natural light as well as easy access to the garden. The key to a useful kitchen garden is ensuring it’s positioned within easy access of the kitchen.

Vintage decor
The home’s Federation heritage was integral to the design and is reflected in the high ceilings, timber floors and vintage-look tiles of the new space. It’s the perfect combination of creative and functional design, with touches of colour and pattern, ample bench space and canny overhead storage.
