Dated and unappealing, this guest bathroom was given new life with coastal charm.
Pink laminated built-in cupboards and were all that this bathroom had going for it – not a lot! The space included a laundry and homeowners Jo and Jason started by ripping out tiles and dismantling storage shelves, replacing them with Weathertex panelling, plus a feature wall of Moroccan mosaic tiles from Naturally Tiles & Bathware.
Cabinetmaker Patrick Silver also erected a panelled blade wall to screen the toilet from sight and a large vanity cabinet was designed by Beachwood, custom-made from reclaimed Australian hardwood to fit into the adjacent laundry area.
A new butler sink completes the look. For the second vanity unit, they sourced an original Chinese elm console and had a chic bowl basin added to the piece. Accessories from Beachwood, such as the rope frame mirror and bamboo ladder tie into the coastal look.
