A 13-year-old boy has made headlines after he built himself a tiny house.
Instead of spending his summer playing video games, Luke Thill, Iowa, decided to build a house in his parent’s backyard.
“I was getting really bored during the summer and I got really fascinated with tiny houses,” Luke says in the YouTube video.
“I decided if I worked towards it and made enough money from cutting lawns that I would start to build a tiny house.”
18-months later, Luke, with the help of his dad, completed the house. Measuring 10 feet long (3.5 metres) and 5.5 feet wide (1.5 metres), the project set him back about $1500 which he paid for with his own money. Luke even bartered with an electrician to help with the wiring.
