With stylish dinnerware, sumptuous soft furnishings and colours to die for, we can’t wait to get our hands on this affordable new range.
If you’ve already kitted out your wardrobe for the cooler months from UK retail giant H&M, the new autumn/winter homewares collection hitting Australian stores for 2018 might have your home sporting a new look too. The range includes dinner and tableware, soft furnishings, décor accessories and objets d’art to bring into all areas of your home in the latest seasonal colours.
Soft, warm pinks, rusty burnt caramel and that touch of olive beginning to make its way into our interiors – the perfect foil for timber textures and finishes in our flooring, furniture and accents.
Metallic touches in gold and brass pepper the collection, with quirky animal motifs and tribal influences coming through in patterns on ceramics and fabrics throughout the range.
We talk to Evelina H&M Home head of design Evelina Kravaev Söderberg for an insider’s look into the collection.
“It is often said that the kitchen is the heart of the home, so much of everyday life takes place in there,” she says. “Now, we want to make kitchenware a bigger part of H&M HOME, both with products for the dinner table, but also selected kitchen utensils. We start off by introducing a dinnerware set in three different classical colours”.
Dinnerware is to become a bigger part of the product range and something H&M Home have invested in designing for the long term. “We’re particularly proud of our dinnerware series that we add to our range of timeless basics,” says Evelina. “We wanted to create pieces that customers can collect over a long time. Our vision was to create a dinnerware series of good quality and with a clean design that feels timeless and goes with any trend and any style.”
“We hope our customers will love it as much as we do”

Evelina’s top tips for dressing your autumn entertaining table?
“A stunning table setting is all about the layers,” says Evelina. “Use plates of different sizes and combine several colours. Our new dinnerware set, with its matte finish and matching shades, is perfect for doing just that and for setting the table with a personal touch. This autumn, go for natural materials and work with contrasts between light and dark to create a warm and rustic feeling.”
