If you’re looking for a way to make a unique DIY design statement with indoor plants, look no further than the new-look Dulux Design Effects Collection.
With six new paint effects in a range of colours, you can create a customized look and add interest to feature walls, furniture and home accessories, like pot plants.
The new additions to the range include Dulux Copper, Copper Patina, Metal Shimmer, Stainless Steel, Gold and Concrete Effects.
“There are so many ways you can create a design statement with Dulux Design Effects,” explains Dulux Colour Expert, Andrea Lucena-Orr. “From the simplest idea such as painting pots for indoors plants or a block texture behind your favourite artwork to painting an entire space.”
Here, Alana Langan and Jacqui Vidal (of Ivy Muse Botanical Wares Studio) and Crystal Bailey and Mitchel Lindsay (of The Design Twins) recently used Dulux Design Effects to give indoor plants a stylish makeover.
Ivy Muse Botanical Wares makeover
You don’t have to spend a fortune to create sophisticated and unique pieces.
“For this project, we had great fun scouring our local op shop for cheap second-hand pots, which we transformed with Dulux Metal Shimmer Effect,” explains Alana Langan and Jacqui Vidal of Ivy Muse Botanical Wares Studio.
“We love the subtle, refined colours – they have a gentle shimmer that’s best appreciated up close.”
The Design Twins makeover
Design Twins gave a simple hallway arrangement a dramatic lift by adding fibre-clay pots painted in alternating layers of Dulux Copper and Copper Patina Effects.
