From her Sydney studio this talented florist creates bountiful bridal bouquets, stunning store arrangements and a bevy of nature’s beauty in vases for big brands, fashion A-listers and the common folk alike.
“What makes a good arrangement?” we ask Myra in her store, rich with colour and opulent blooms.
“In my opinion, it’s the placement of the flowers and how the florist allows each bloom to complement the others,” she says. “It’s the negative space between, the way the flowers are placed to replicate their natural state and the consideration taken when choosing the colour palette.”
“My obsession grew trying to find vases…”
Myra Perez, My Violet
“Even the details of the wrapping are important for a beautiful bouquet,” says Myra. “How will it look sitting in a vase? There is a fine balance between carefree thought and over-thought.”

“My obsession grew trying to find vases… the more that I collected, the more I would find new things. China, crystal and ceramics, garage sales, op-shops, overseas… the list is endless”.
