This year’s Dulux Colour Forecast is as eclectic as it is stylish, featuring three new colour palettes that will shape the way we decorate our homes in the year to come. Each of the trend predictions reflect an inner desire to nurture positivity in spaces within our homes — and the new Journey palette is no exception.

Made up of beautifully tonal pinks, burgundy, greens and warm neutrals, at its core Journey’s bohemian charm brings with it a joyful twist on the arts and crafts theme. Above all, Journey weaves together layers of depth and meaning.

Below, we dive deeper into the Journey palette and discover the top bohemian style tones for 2024 and beyond.

Style it right

“This beautiful living space offers a relaxed and soothing sanctuary. The green hues are styled with warm, natural textures and materials,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, of the room (above) styled by Home Beautiful.

For Andrea, the Journey palette celebrates the art of storytelling. It’s a brilliant way to add layers of depth and colour to your space, creating a sense of connection and meaning.

“To accentuate the storytelling, look for rich timbers, hand-crafted artefacts, ceramics, and patterned and fabric textiles,” the colour expert advises.

From your travels

Journey has a maximalist feel and lends itself to layers of styling.

Decorate your spaces with objects from travels, family mementoes and treasures passed down through generations. Bonus points if your objets d’art are hand-crafted, folk-inspired, or vintage finds.

Breathe new life into timeworn finds — such as side tables or vessels — with a fresh coat of paint. For a bohemian look, try any of the rich mid-tone hues from the Journey palette.

Dulux Evening Blush
The star of the Journey palette, this pretty pink hue adds sweetness to any space. Pair it with soft or darker greens, and sumptuous materials like velvet, to give a room an eclectic twist.

Dulux Hay Wain
This striking golden hue feels fresh and inviting, especially when used in small and controlled doses. It pairs perfectly with the soft pinks and stunning greens in the Journey palette.

Dulux Pollinate
Try a warmer hue and paint your walls in Dulux Pollinate for an inviting and comforting effect. Dulux Pollinate is a warm white with ivory undertones that works well with other warm hues, or olive greens like Dulux Xena.

Dulux Bean Counter
A sophisticated, muted mint green that looks gorgeous with Dulux Pollinate by its side. For a berry burst, team with Dulux Carmen for a pink accent.

Dulux Xena
Use this warm, yellow-based green liberally (splashed on walls and even ceilings) to create a rich depth of colour and a sense of serenity.
