The Home Beautiful team recently caught up with the super stylist to find out what looks he’s hoping to see in 2018 and how he’ll be decorating for Christmas lunch.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best thing is that I get to be creative every day – no one day at work is ever the same! I love the variety and that I get to meet so many different creative people.
What’s your favourite trend/look from 2017?
I’m always impressed by those who pay little attention to trends and decorate from the heart instead.
What look will we be seeing more of in 2018?
I’m hoping to see more eclectic styles – let’s be done with Scandi
What is on top of your Christmas wishlist this year?
Some pieces from the new atmosphere collection by Dinosaur Designs, an aluminium surface sconce light from Henry Wilson and some reed stools from MR FRÄG.
What are your top tips for Christmas lunch decorating this year?
I love a casual Christmas Day with fresh seafood and pavlova on the menu and lots of swimming. This year, go for an Australian style tabletop, incorporating simple flowers and handmade ceramic plates and serving ware. I love share-style entertaining and the laid-back, relaxed nature of it.
