See HB's pick of this season's bedroom transformations
House Rules

From watery colour palettes and geek chic style to industrial Scandi and Gold Coast bling, the House Rules teams have had their work well and truly cut out for them this year meeting the rules they each set for the renovation of their home. Here, we share our most adored bedrooms from the first phase of renovations.

Andrew’s Bedroom

Even the judges were impressed by this room, executed by SA couple Kate and Harry. Our very own Wendy Moore says “the rug gave a retro vibe, as did the pendant lights,” while the storm trooper and framed pictures from Etsy introduced geek chic elements. The rug is from Miss Amara, furniture is from The Furniture Gallery and accessories are from Target.

Wendy sang high praises for this bedroom, commenting on the lovely (and watery) colour palette, the gorgeous feature wall from Pickawall and clever design features. The The rug is from Miss Amara, canvas print from Urban Road, furniture and accessories are from Brosa. The soft blues make for a relaxed, cocooning space to retire to.

While many were torn by the excessive lighting and the palette bedframe, we love the airy, bright and light atmosphere of this room created by WA brothers, Andrew and Jono. A high cathedral-like ceiling delivered on wow-factor and the artwork is perfectly positioned in the new wall, shutting out the noisy freeway beyond. The wardrobe doors, bed and bench are from Homeroom Design.
