Espirit de Figues will transport you to France for a fraction of the cost of a flight. The world’s first true fresh fig liqueur is distilled in Burgundy, France by artisan distillers who infuse the fresh figs for three months before bottling. The first drink on our list will be a fig sangria, or a figtini – get the recipe here. Expect notes of fresh fig and raspberry jam with a hint of peach and honey.

Bloody Shiraz Gin was born on a whim when Four Pillars distillery came into possession of Shiraz grapes. They decided to mix these with their gin and the result was a purple-coloured liquid that is somewhere between a red wine and a gin. Aromatically the gin has fresh pine needles, spice and a peppery, dense raspberry character. The palate is lovely and sweet, with long juniper and spice character finish. Try with tonic, or serve it warm for the ultimate winter cocktail.

Whether you’re after an Italian-inspired aperitivo or just want to spice up your cocktail, add Solerno to your shopping list. It yields a velvety sweetness, balancing tartness with a lasting, dry finish. Find the recipe for a blood orange margarita here.
